Trapezium blocks, how to do it

Talking about designing quilts and choosing quilts to make of other designersquilts, the focus goes to appliqué, Baltimore, KimMcLean, Monica Poole. So .. what about patchwork and me.
Did a lot of squares, combined in different formats, did triangles, did strips in a kind of Celtic pattern, a fanwheel and a six pointed star. And yes, while doing so, I always think 'What way will be the fastest way to do it.'

Time to slow down and do a trapezium quilt, So I ordered some 10 degree rulers and tested them. Made a Dolly quilt in a day and afterwards appliqued a Lecien Antique Rose bouquet on top.

And again doing the appliqué I thought: How to do this the best way? This time I used 'plakkatoen' instead of Freezerpaper.
Also used needles before ironing instead of fingers during ironing. Feels a lot better, I promise you.

The next project has appliqué again and more challenging patchwork.
At 16 June (Quilt in Public day) we will demonstrate this technique in front of the shop.
